The Letter to the Philippians.
Philippians is often called the letter of joy, which is a strange thing, because Paul is writing from prison, under the shadow of a sentence of death by the emperor - Yet Paul has joy.
The question then is “how” did Paul have this joy, and that friends is the “why” we are going to be studying the Letter to the Philippians together.
Each Sunday we end our worship gathering with: "The Disciple Maker's Prayer". We believe that Jesus has called us to make disciples of all nations, starting in our families and communities. We believe that the best way to follow Jesus is to do it together, just like Jesus did. So we want to be intentional in offering a pathway to being a disciple, who makes more disciples, just like Jesus. We believe it starts with:
Daily Following Jesus - Daily Bible Reading
Sharing Jesus Along the Way - Sharing What You are Learning With Others
Weekly Wrestling Jesus - Meeting Together to Wrestle Following Jesus

Would you start praying this dangerous prayer every day?
Heavenly Father, Thank you for giving me a disciple making way of life in Christ Jesus.
As I go through every part of this day, help me to love you and love the people who cross my path-starting with my family. Don't let me miss the adventures you are sending my way to live and speak the Good News about Jesus today. Draw my heart to you and to specific people you want me to pull close for Jesus-like disciple making friendships. By your Word and Spirit, transform me into a follower of Jesus who loves you, loves people, and makes disciples-who make more disciples, ad infinitum. - In Jesus' name, amen.
