PRAYER MINISTRY

WEEKLY PRAYER

Join us every Wednesday night, 6:30pm - 7:30pm, for guided prayer, as we pray for one another, for others, for our neighborhoods, for our community, nation and those in the nations.

If you personally need prayer and anointing please join us anytime between 6:30-7:30pm.

The holy spirit

and prayer

The power to pray effectively for one another, others, our neighbors and the nations, begins with laying aside our own desires and to humbly, honestly and with a contrite heart set our affections upon the Spirit in all matters.

Paul says in Romans 8:26, “The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”

We need to "pray in the Spirit". Praying in the Spirit means that our prayers are empowered, moved, led and guided by the Holy Spirit. That is, we are being prompted to pray by the Spirit, who is’ awakening us and guiding our intercession.

When praying in the Spirit, it’s his leading that guides the things that we pray for are being shaped and determined by the Spirit, and it is His power that carries  prayers to the throne of grace.

Every prayer begins with a heart that points itself towards God and says, "Come Holy Spirit, Come"

THE CREED

I believe in God,

the Father almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth,

and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the Virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died and was buried;

he descended into hell;

on the third day he rose again from the dead;

he ascended into heaven,

and is seated at the right hand of God

the Father almighty;

from there he will come to judge

the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the Church of Jesus Christ,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and life everlasting.

Amen.
